3. Sponsorship is turned in to Treasurer
4. Banner
If you are not sure about your status, please email the Volunteer Coordinator (
volunteer@ayso187.org) and I will be able to let you know the status of your team. Don't wait till the last minute. If you have given this information to your Division Coordinators, please forward the information to me also. Certificates will be issued on 10/24/09.
At the end of the season, each team gathers for their team party. The Team Parent should contact the restaurant you intend to use to schedule a time to have the team party. Please advise all parents that they may not consume alcoholic beverages at the same table as the team party. The party is an AYSO sponsored event. Please remind your coach that he/she needs to bring their white registration forms to the party. If the party is at Shakey's, the pizzas and drinks are provided for the players and coach only. Shakey's does not provide tokens; they are the responsibility of each team. The player’s family is responsible for their own food purchases. It is a good idea to have a few choices for which day you would like your team party as the reservation times fill up quickly.
SNACKS
Each player is asked to bring game day snacks during the season. There are half-time snacks and after game snacks. Half-time snacks consist of fruit (orange slices, grapes, watermelon slices, melon slices, etc ) and cold water. The after game snacks include a beverage (juice pouches or boxes, sports drinks, etc) and a snack (granola bars, chips, cookies, fruit snacks). Please be sure and remind each player to bring enough for every player and any coaches.
Please include at the end of the schedule a short description of the type of snacks that are needed and a note explaining that based on the number of players on the team, some players may have an extra snack time during the season. Also, inform the parents to try to switch with another parent on the team if their assigned date is not convenient for them.
GOAL CANS
The Goal Can is a fun way to raise funds for tokens for the end of the year party, player gifts, and/or coach’s gifts. Each Team Parent brings the Goal Can to each game and collects money for each goal scored. You can collect from everyone on your sideline. The Can itself can be an empty coffee can or a storage container you purchase. You can decorate it any way you want. Have fun with it. It is recommended you empty the contents of your Can weekly, so that in the event that the Can is stolen, your team does not lose all the money you have collected throughout the season. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CAN UNATTENED ON THE SIDELINES!!!
